Who We Are

Sometimes encouragement comes through the smallest things. A card arriving unexpectedly in the mail, a gift chosen with someone in mind, or a few words offered at just the right time can have an impact far beyond the moment itself. At Tigaro House, we believe those simple expressions of care are worth making room for.Our heart is to create opportunities for people to give and receive encouragement. Through the Christian Card Circle, Little Lamp Gift Shop, and the things we do within our community, we want to help make thoughtfulness more intentional—whether someone is celebrating a joyful moment, walking through a difficult season, or simply needs a reason to smile.Our Christian faith is the foundation of Tigaro House. We believe the way we care for people should reflect the love of Jesus Christ—not only in what we say, but in what we do. Compassion, generosity, kindness, and service guide the way we approach our work and the way we hope to treat every person we encounter.We also believe encouragement should reach beyond the walls of Tigaro House. A card can be mailed. A gift can be given. A kind gesture can be passed along. In that way, one act of encouragement has the opportunity to continue from one person to another.

Happy Day, Everyone!I am humbled that the Lord Jesus Christ has entrusted me with the vision for The Christian Card Circle and Little Lamp Gift Shop. Tigaro House wasn’t originally what you see today, but God has a way of changing our plans, using our experiences, and leading us into a purpose we may not have seen for ourselves.I believe He was preparing my heart for this long before I understood what He was doing.Part of the heart behind these programs comes from my own testimony.My father and I were separated when I was 16 years old. For more than 20 years, we didn’t see or speak to one another, and for many of those years, I didn’t even know if he was still alive.Around my 37th birthday, I felt the Lord leading me back to my childhood home to look for him.I was afraid. I sat in my car talking to God, saying, “Lord, I can’t do this.” But somehow, He gave me the courage to get out of that car and walk to the door.No one answered.I left a note, but something inside me told me to ring the doorbell one more time.So I did.And my father opened the door.After more than 20 years apart, there he was.What I could not have orchestrated myself, God had brought together in His timing.Not long after we were reunited, my father gave me a birthday card. I couldn’t remember receiving birthday cards from him growing up, so this one meant more to me than he probably knew.Inside, he wrote four simple words:“It’s never too late.”I have never forgotten them.That card became something I would carry in my heart long after my birthday had passed. But more than the card itself, I saw how God could use something so simple to speak hope into a place in my heart that had carried hurt for years.God used that experience to teach me that encouragement doesn't have to be grand to be meaningful. Sometimes He can use a few sincere words, a simple act of kindness, or someone taking the time to say, “I thought of you.”And that experience became part of the heart behind what we do at Tigaro House.Through The Christian Card Circle, Birthday Blessings Cake Away, and other acts of kindness, our desire is to point people toward the love and hope of Jesus Christ by encouraging them and celebrating the value of the lives God created.We don’t always know what someone is carrying. They may be grieving, lonely, discouraged, or walking through a difficult season. Or they may simply need the unexpected joy of knowing that someone thought about them.A handmade card, a birthday surprise, or a few heartfelt words may seem small. But when we place simple acts of kindness in God's hands, we never know how He may use them.My father could not give back the years we had lost, but God used four simple words in a birthday card to give me something I desperately needed: hope for what could still be.And He taught me something else through it: you don't have to know someone personally to show them the love of Christ. They may be a friend, a neighbor, or a complete stranger. We are called to love, encourage, and build one another up.Sometimes all it takes is knowing that somebody thought of you, somebody cared, and somebody wanted you to know that you matter.That is the heart behind Tigaro House. God is at the center of it. We send the cards, We celebrate the birthdays, We encourage people through handmade gifts. But our prayer is that through every card, every celebration, and every act of kindness, people experience a glimpse of something much greater than us—the love and hope of Jesus Christ.Because ultimately, He is the reason we love. He is the reason we serve. And He is the reason we have hope.Every person is worth encouraging because every person matters to God. Every life is worth celebrating because every life is His creation. First of all, we just want to say that WE LOVE YOU! Life can change in ways we don’t always expect, and we may not know when we’ll need a little encouragement along the way. That’s what makes an unexpected card, kind word, or little surprise in the mail so special—it just might arrive at the right time.The Christian Card Circle is a Christian card and encouragement program from Tigaro House, LLC, connecting people through creativity, kindness, and the love and hope of Jesus Christ.

Become a Christian Card Circle Member

Second of all, become a circle card member and receive the LOVE. It’s completely free to become a Circle member. You don’t have to be going through a difficult season or facing a particular circumstance to join, and you don’t have to make or send cards to be a member. The Circle is for anyone who would simply enjoy receiving a little encouragement in the mail.Throughout the year, Circle members may receive birthday, holiday, seasonal, and other special cards, along with an occasional small surprise from Tigaro House’s own Little Lamp Gift Shop. Each mailing is simply a reminder that someone thought of you and took the time to send a little encouragement your way.Circle membership must be renewed each year. Annual renewal lets us know that you still want to be part of the Circle and helps us keep our mailing list accurate. Members are responsible for keeping their mailing address current with Tigaro House and should update it whenever they move or their address changes by contacting us.

Do you want to create cards for the circle? (Optional)

The Christian Card Circle also brings people together to create uplifting, encouraging, and heartfelt cards for others. Through card-making gatherings and other creative opportunities, people can use watercolor, paper crafts, hand lettering, and other forms of creative expression to make cards that celebrate, comfort, encourage, and uplift someone they may never meet. Cards may include Scripture, Christian encouragement, prayerful messages, or other kind and hopeful words.You don’t have to attend one of our card-making gatherings to create for the Circle. Make cards at home, gather a few friends, create together as a family, or organize a card-making activity with your church or group. Become a member of The Christian Card Circle at no cost and join a growing circle centered on Christian encouragement, kindness, and connection.2. Renew Each Year
Once a year, we’ll ask you to renew your membership and confirm your mailing information. If you move, be sure to update your address with us so everything we send reaches the right place.3. A Little Something May Be Coming Your Way
Part of the fun of The Christian Card Circle is never knowing when a little something might show up. Throughout the year, you may find a heartfelt card waiting for you—sometimes with a small trinket or surprise tucked inside.You never quite know when a little encouragement might find its way to your mailbox!4. Make a Card, If You’d Like
Giving is another way to be part of the Circle, but it’s never required. Join us at one of our card-making gatherings, create at home, or make cards with family, friends, your church, or another group.Cards should be uplifting, encouraging, and heartfelt and may include Scripture, Christian encouragement, or other kind and hopeful messages.5. Send Your Creations Our Way
Mail your completed cards to Tigaro House, and we’ll take care of sharing them with members of The Christian Card Circle.6. Be Part of the Circle of Encouragement
Sometimes you may be the one receiving an encouraging word. Other times, something you create may encourage someone you’ve never met. Whether you receive, create, or do both, you’re part of a Circle sharing kindness and the love and hope of Jesus Christ.

Membership does not guarantee that a member will receive a specific number or type of cards, mailings, gifts, surprises, or Birthday Blessings. 1. Create From The Heart

Make your card by hand and make it your own.We love seeing your:Handwriting and hand letteringDrawings and paintingsPaper crafts and collageStamps and inkStickers and embellishmentsOther creative touchesWe love the personal touches that show someone took the time
to create something special and encouraging for another person.

2. Add Your Circle ◯

We strongly encourage you to include at least one circle or as many circles
somewhere in your card design
—it’s a special part of The Christian Card Circle!Circles are encouraged, but not required. Most importantly,
have fun creating something heartfelt and uniquely yours.Why the circle?
The circle represents our connection to one another through Christ
and the encouragement we pass along to others.Connected in Christ. Encouragement Comes Full Circle.There is no single way to create your circle.Try:A big circle or a tiny oneSeveral circles of different sizesPainted or hand-drawn circlesStamped or stenciled circlesColorful or patterned paper circlesCircles made from dots, flowers,leaves, or other elementsWords arranged to form a circleLayered or overlapping circlesA perfectly round circle or a wonderfully imperfect handmade one

3. Write something encouraging

Every card should contain words that are uplifting,
encouraging, hopeful, compassionate, or celebratory.You're welcome to share:Scripture or a Bible verse

References to God or Jesus Christ
Prayerful words
Words of hope, kindness, comfort, joy, or celebration
An encouraging quote
Your own heartfelt message

4. Keep It Kind & Appropriate

Everything shared through The Christian Card Circle should
reflect the encouraging spirit of the program.Please do not include:Profanity
Vulgar or sexually explicit words or images
Hateful or discriminatory messages
Political campaigning
Frightening or graphic imagery
Insults or threats
Words intended to shame, condemn, or belittle someoneRemember, you may not know the person who eventually holds your card.

5. Keep Personal Information & Valuables Out of Your Card

To help keep The Christian Card Circle safe and simple for everyone, please DO NOT
include personal contact information or anything of monetary value inside your card.Please leave out:Your last name
Home address
Phone number
Email address
Social media handles
Other personal contact information
Cash or checks
Gift cards
Other items of monetary valueYou're welcome to sign your first name if you'd like, or simply write:Created with love by a friend in The Christian Card Circle.

6. Make Sure Decorations Are Mail- Friendly

Have fun decorating! Paint, markers, colored pencils, stamps, inks, stickers,
paper layers, ribbon, washi tape, and other creative materials are welcome.Just remember that your finished card will eventually need to travel through the mail.Please:Securely attach embellishments.
Avoid loose glitter.
Avoid large beads, buttons, or very bulky decorations.
Avoid perfume, fragrance sprays, and strongly scented materials.
Keep the finished card reasonably flat and easy to mail.

7. Card Envelope vs. Mailing Envelope

If you include an envelope for your handmade card, please leave that card
envelope unsealed so Tigaro House can review the card before
it is shared with a Circle member.The outer envelope or package you use to mail your cards to
Tigaro House should always be securely sealed.

8. Let Your Encouragement Travel

Once your card is finished, it can be submitted to Tigaro House, LLC
for The Christian Card Circle.Cards are reviewed before being distributed to participating circle membersCards that don't meet these guidelines may not be shared.This helps us make sure the cards traveling through the Circle
remain appropriate, encouraging, uplifting,and consistent with the Christian heart of the program.Mail completed cards to:Tigaro House LLC
